Synopsis

In Flatliners, five medical students, obsessed by the mystery of what lies beyond the confines of life, embark on a daring and dangerous experiment: by stopping their hearts for short periods of time, each triggers a near-death experience – giving them a firsthand account of the afterlife. But as their experiments become increasingly dangerous, they are each haunted by the sins of their pasts, brought on by the paranormal consequences of trespassing to the other side.

Perfect Blend of Horror and Sci-Fi

My initial expectation of this movie was that it was going to be a halfbaked horror with bits of science-y context but I was greatly surprised by the way the whole movie played out. I left the cinema still thinking about the main subject of the movie and the way they successfully portrayed a spritual view on the supernatural VS a scientific view. The bits of humour was lighthearted and appropriate, the horror was gripping and the sci-fi was comprehensible. A truly underrated film!

Not for the weak hearted

Movie started off with a nice scientific feel then suddenly the horror part dominated the rest of the movie till the end then the movie allowed viewers to continue breathing.
