Synopsis

Set in the year 1999, the year of the student protests in Mexico City. Tomas is too much of a troublemaker for his single mother to handle, so she decides to send him to Mexico City to live with his brother, Sombra. Sombra is a student in Mexico City who lives with his roommate Santos. The apartment they are staying in has little food and no electricity. When Tomas finds out that his favourite Mexican folk rock musician, Epigmenio Cruz had gotten hospitalised, he convinces his brother and Santos to help him find Cruz and visit him. And off they went on a surreal journey to find a dying Mexican rock hero.
