In support of the Sustainable Singapore movement, an initiative aimed at addressing and educating Singaporeans on environmental issues, Keppel Land Limited (Keppel Land) and Keppel REIT Management Limited (Keppel REIT) in association with United International Pictures, Singapore (UIP Singapore), held a premiere screening of An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power, on 15th August, at Shaw Theatres Lido.

The event was graced by guest of honour Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Singapore’s Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, as well as local personalities such as Alaric Tay, Simone Heng, and social media influencer Eden Ang.

During his opening address, Minister Masagos highlighted the reality of climate change and global warming, and reaffirmed Singapore’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions.

“Quite simply, all of us - in Singapore and across the world - must act now, and act responsibly. Countries must work together to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. We must take immediate steps to preserve our environment for our future generations,” he said.

A decade after the award-winning 2006 documentary An Inconvenient Truth brought the climate crisis into the heart of popular culture, comes the riveting sequel that shows just how close we are to real energy revolution. In An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, former Vice President Al Gore continues his tireless fight, travelling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy.

An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power opens in cinemas on 17 August 2017.
