Synopsis

Despite the constant resistance from fellow villagers, schoolmaster Shelke Master continues his effort in maintaining the school and filling up the attendance sheet by making sure that all children are in school studying instead of working. When it`s time for his wife to go into labour, he is forced to leave the school in Gauri`s hand. Learning of Shelke`s absence, the villagers stop sending their children to school and make them work instead, including the school`s most talented boy, Abdul. With the incoming visit from the education department, Gauri must find a way to make sure that all the students are present and that the attendance sheet is filled.
